Karl Schadlich is the Vice President of Strategic Solutions. He focuses on the strategic growth of Signal through Business Development and Innovation, building and fostering relationships with industry partners. For Karl there is nothing more rewarding than being part of a team and industry of collaborative colleagues that continuously strives to find creative ways to shape the world and our future. His involvement in strategic approaches and outcomes that shape our and future generations is what gets his engine running.
For those that don’t know, he is also a big Chuck Norris fan. While serving in the US Marine Corp during a 2006 tour in Iraq he had the privilege to meet and experience a knuckle crushing handshake from his hero. I’m grateful he went easy on the handshake and took the time to share some thoughtful words with my crew. How the meeting came to be is a fun story and he is happy to share if you ever run into him and ask.
Karl has a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Maine at Augusta.
When he is not building and fostering industry relationships, he is golfing. Finding character in the sport, Karl says, “I’ve been golfing since I was 6 years old and will golf until I can’t swing a club. To me it’s one of the most rewarding sports and tests a person’s integrity and devotion to a lifetime of learning. Through all the shots taken I’m always searching for the perfect swing, and maybe one day finally getting a hole in one.”
Karl has grown up and lived all around the country, but his wonderful wife and son have found a home in Chattanooga, TN for the past 10+ years. When describing his family, he simply states, “I would be lost without them.”
