CO-OP/INTERN PROGRAM

As a Co-op or Intern, your first assignment could be working closely with Project Managers and Estimators, expediting subcontracts and submittals, helping with schedules, soliciting bids from suppliers and subcontractors, or preparing warranty manuals. You will also be given the opportunity to visit ongoing projects, to experience first hand a wind farm and solar power construction project in progress.

Additional assignments could be at one of our many jobsites located throughout the United States and Canada. There, you can be a part of a team that builds roads, foundations, high voltage electrical collection systems, substations, and installs wind turbines and solar power systems. You would work directly for the Project Superintendent or Project Manager assisting in maintaining quality control and safety on the job. You could also be involved in expediting materials to the project or supervising a construction crew. This program is designed to give students field experience that cannot be obtained in a classroom.

Currently, EMJ and/or Signal Energy is working with the Cooperative Education Departments at Auburn University, The University of Tennessee, Texas Tech University and Texas A&M in searching for motivated students who wish to supplement their education with real life experiences. However, we are always looking to expand our collegiate affiliations.
